its monday morning, have you kissed the one you love yet??

sean & candace were married in los angeles in truly exquisite style….their wedding was planned by the amazing sharon sacks….their style was very old world & elegant….candace got ready & slipped into her beautiful strapless melissa sweet gown in the  Oviatt Penthouse, known as an art deco catsle in the air…their rooftop ceremony was adorned with beautiful florals created by mark’s garden….it was a truly elegant affair….sean, an entertainment business manager’s, groomsmen included will-i-am from the black eyed peas….sharon sacks transformed los angeles hot spot Cicada into a fantastic dance party & reception for the happy couple…there were orchids & chandeliers everywhere….the 1920′s style of Cicada complemented the vibe & style of the wedding perfectly….sean & candace danced the night away with the amazing  DJ AM’s spinning music through the night….it was truly a one of kind event….sean & candace are such an elegant couple…their love filled the air….there was so much joy &  beauty everywhere you looked…….the perfect sweet ending to a perfect night was the beautiful cake made by the one and only cake divas….everything was simply stunning….

no matter where you are….a destination a million miles away or at home…remember the most important thing is the man standing next to you & your friends & family celebrating with you…xoxo

formal portraits on your wedding day are such an important aspect of your day…..as much as i love getting ready images & details….there is something so profound about the legacy of family coming together in joy & celebration….i think of group shots as family heirlooms….they become more special & valuable with time….there are a couple of things to consider when planning your group photos…what is the best time for formal photos?? there really is no right answer, just what is right for you….doing them before the ceremony has some advantages….it frees up your time after the ceremony, which can be nice if you want to enjoy your cocktail party….this may not be the best plan though, if you are a true romantic….seeing your groom & his family before the ceremony may be great for photos but does not work for some couples who want to see each other for the first time at their ceremony….there are a couple of alternatives….you can do all the formal portraits after the ceremony….which maintains the magic of the first glimpse of each other at the ceremony….but often means missing some or all of your cocktail party….or you can do some formals before the ceremony separately & then again together after the ceremony together….which is a good solution, but will demand more time from you & your families…or i also like to plan a special moment where the bride & groom can see each other before the ceremony, alone….it maintains some of the magic & importance of the first moment of seeing each other and then also enables the groups shots to be done before the ceremony….whatever you decide, make sure you communicate you desires both with your photographer & your families….good communication makes for beautiful photographs…..happy wedding….xoxo

i love flowers….all types of flowers….my favorites right now are peonies, they are so generous and sumptuous….oh, and lavender….there is something so wonderful about lavender….its so polite & petit, yet grows wildly all over my garden….and the smell is heavenly….my favorite flower will change from time to time, depending on my mood & the season….but no matter what i love       flowers, they make me happy….what is your favorite flower and why?
