So who’s Betsy White?
I actually don’t know anyone named Betsy. betsywhite is a word that sprung from old Barbadian dialect (that’s where I’m from – Barbados). It refers to the song of the local black bird, which sounds a heckuva lot like “betsywhite” (at least when Bajans say it!).
 
What’s Betsy White all about?
We’re all about offering brides stylish stationery options they can actually afford.
 
A little bit about me…
My name is Gia. I’m really short (5’), I can’t sing, I suck at math and I’m not a very good swimmer (despite growing up on an island and spending countless hours on the beach). I am however, a pretty decent designer….and I can organize the heck out of just about any space (The Container Store = Disney World in my book).

this rehearsal dinner celebration took place on the couple’s farm & was simply beautiful

the birdcage veil literally had a bird on it….it was stunning & complemented the melissa sweet
cocktail dress perfectly….its amazing how a beautiful dress can set the tone for an entire party.

the simplest gestures mean the most….

in my humble opinion….all any of us want is love…true love…sweet & unselfish….especially when times are hard….a smile…a hug…the simplest gesture can change your whole attitude….sometimes my husband will pick flowers & have my children hand them to me….it makes my heart melt….and i think maybe it works in reverse…. that we can change the way others feel with simple gestures kindness….so perhaps we can teach men in our lives how to love us….by loving them….so give your smiles….and your affection….and pick a flower for someone you love…..xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

gillian dewberry is the artistic visionary behind dewdrop designs & her innovative & handcrafted books are absolutely beautiful….she uses beautiful leathers & rich papers for her creations….they are not only lovely to look at but also wonderful to hold….a perfect journal…or guest book….or gift…

mindy weiss is such a wonderful event planner…and also such a sweet & thoughtful person…she put together this lovely tea party…it was a celebration full of whimsy, vintage hats & fabulous details…..the happy couple danced in the garden and dined on mini sandwiches & cookies….and hot tea…..
mindy weiss created a day  inspired by lewis carroll’s “alice in wonderland”….it was truly magical….each table was unique….the colors were lovely and fresh….there were little tea sandwiches & sweets for everyone…and beautiful coasters with vintage “alice in wonderland” drawings….and a collection of antique clocks keeping time…..this lovely tea party set the tone for the truly unbelievable wedding that followed…..mindy weiss is an incredibly talented & an extraordinarily sweet person….xoxoxo
